International technology group Andritz held a very successful customer day with an emphasis on durable nonwoven applications on May 17th, at the Andritz Asselin-Thibeau site in Elbeuf, France.

Key players from the nonwovens industry made their way to northern France from all over Europe for the event, which showcased the group’s needlepunch and airlay technologies, in addition to new solutions in digitalisation.

The Andritz team showed visitors around the recently upgraded Needlepunch Technical Centre at Elbeuf, and several demonstrations of its capabilities for manufacturing both light weight and heavier products were held.

The guests also toured the manufacturing and assembly facilities in Elbeuf and the technologies and machines used by Andritz Laroche for airlay and recycling were outlined, along with details of what is possible at the new Airlay Technical Centre in Cours.

There was keen interest in the new Andritz digitalization solutions, Metris UX and Metris RAS, and their potential for the future refinement of connected nonwovens manufacturing technologies.
