Tights in a box sold by subscription have proved a winning formula for the Parisian brand Gambettes Box, which is currently promoting two pairs of tights made with Fulgar’s Evo yarns derived from sustainably-cultivated castor oil seeds.

Encouraged by the success of tights made from Fulgar’s Q-Nova recycled polyamide, Gambettes Box is expanding its sustainable range with those made from Evo featuring stylised pois patterns and mini-diamond shapes.

“As well as causing changes in people’s behaviour, purchasing choices and lifestyles, the global pandemic has led to greater awareness among consumers, especially younger buyers,” said Sixtine Maroniez, head of product for Gambettes Box.

“As a result, they are considering their choices more deeply and rewarding sustainable initiatives. We have to take this cultural change into consideration alongside fashion trends, and that’s why we’ve chosen to expand our green offer even further, turning once again to Fulgar to assist us.”

“We’re delighted that a brand with such an original business model has come to us to help create an ecological capsule,” says Fulgar marketing manager Daniela Antunes. “Fulgar has a long-standing commitment to sustainability at all stages of the production process and promotes an increasingly green textile supply chain.”

Fulgar is the international leader in the synthetic fibre sector, producing and distributing nylon 6.6 and covered elastomers in the textile and technical fabric sectors.

Launched in the late 1970s at Castel Goffredo (Mantova), in Italy’s hosiery region, Fulgar’s investment in R&D and commitment to environmental issues has resulted in constant growth over the past ten years.

The company’s fibres and yarns are employed in all sectors of the textile industry, from hosiery to circular knits, intimate wear, beachwear and sportswear, while always respecting the Made in Italy textile tradition. Fulgar is also the exclusive distributor of the Lycra, Lycra T400 and Elaspan brands in Europe and Turkey, and in 2012 also forged a partnership with the Solvay group to produce Emana, Amni Soul Eco and Q-Skin fibres.
