Freudenberg Performance Materials will present a wide range of advanced fabrics for numerous industries and markets at this year's IDEA nonwovens show in Miami Beach, Florida, from April 29 to May 1.

The range will include engineered materials for filtration, construction, energy, cleaning, composites, printing, healthcare and the packaging industry.

Freudenberg’s unique wetlaid technology allows for a high level of customisation together with a wide range of technical possibilities in weights, types of fibres and compositions for key markets.

Battery separators based on wetlaid nonwoven technology increase the life cycle and safety of energy storage systems and in the composites industry the company’s surfacing veils ensure abrasion resistance, corrosion protection, smooth surfaces and enhanced mechanical strength. In addition, bio-based materials are ideal for biodegradable plant propagation systems. Freudenberg experts will also be showcasing their innovations in fine denier spunbond technology.

Enka nonwovens are tailored to the roofing and construction market and Enka BioCarrier is particularly suitable for green roofs. The carrier material enables pre-vegetated green roof constructions and consists of 100% bio-based raw materials. Green roofs are becoming increasingly popular due to their numerous ecological and financial benefits.
