At ITMA 2023 in Milan, Swiss spinning systems leader Rieter announced a new partnership with Vinatex which aims to improve the training of textile specialists in Vietnam.

Vinatex is one of Vietnam’s leading textile companies and a key player in the industry, with a workforce of 80,000 employees and a diverse portfolio of 45 companies, including 12 spinning mills. In addition, it has established institutes, vocational schools and universities to ensure the continuation of industry expertise and know-how.

Over the past 25 years, Vinatex has been instrumental in shaping new markets and integrating into the international economy which has helped to position Vietnam’s textile and garment sector as a prominent player in global exports.

Its commitment to fashion, quality, and environmental sustainability has been instrumental to this success. Additionally, Vinatex is dedicated to cultivating a knowledgeable, skilled and socially responsible workforce, ensuring the well-being of workers and national social security.

The collaborative partnership aims to strengthen textile education in Vietnam by offering annual training sessions conducted by Rieter experts for professors, providing training opportunities for students at Vietnamese spinning mills, hosting guest lecturers and supplying a machine model for educational purposes. In addition, Rieter will support students with scholarships, furthering their knowledge and expertise in the field.

“We are excited to collaborate with Vinatex in our shared mission of promoting textile know-how in the industry,” said Rolf Zimmermann, Rieter’s Asia Pacific sales manager. “This partnership exemplifies our joint commitment to advancing the textile sector and ensuring sustainable long-term growth.”
