Sciessent, based in Beverly, Massachusetts, has achieved GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certification for its NOBO anti-odour technology.

GOTS is the worldwide textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain.

The certification guarantees NOBO’s chemistry formulation and production processes meet the required ecological and social global sustainability criteria. It also affirms NOBO is an ecologically and socially responsible product with no adverse effects to the ecosystem or biodiversity throughout its lifecycle.

Specifically formulated to reduce odour in natural and synthetic fabrics, NOBO adsorbs compounds responsible for body odour without the use of an antimicrobial.

“Achieving GOTS Certification for NOBO is a testament to our emphasis on sustainability during product development,” said Sciessent CEO Paul C. Ford. “We want to ensure every product we release adheres not only to our own company values, but to the requirements necessary for a more eco-friendly industry.”

NOBO is also bluesign approved and listed on the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) Foundation ZDHC Gateway, complying with ZDHC Level 3 requirements.
