Located in Barcelona and founded in 1996, Happypunt, a full-service design, development and manufacturer of womenswear, is using Gerber’s software Digital Solutions to help the company reduce costs and time to market and integrate with its ERP system to provide efficiency in design and prototyping of their products.

“The implementation of Gerber’s AccuMark 3D and YuniquePLM will help us to address consumer trends immediately, making sure to have the right style with the correct fit as demand changes,” said Marta Bosch, COO at Happypunt. “We expect a relevant reduction in samples that would directly affect our manufacturing costs.”

Happypunt has been using AccuMark pattern design, grading, marker making and production software since 2013. By adding AccuMark 3D and YuniquePLM, the company says it achieves the additional benefits of seamless data transfer from one program to another, decreasing design time of products.

“We are excited to help Happypunt connect their workflow to address the fast fashion needs and cycle,” said Bill Brewster, Vice President and General Manager, Enterprise Software Solutions for Gerber Technology. “Connectivity is a key tenet of our Digital Solutions to help companies achieve their Industry 4.0 goals.”

Gerber’s Digital Solutions include the newest releases of YuniquePLM product lifecycle management software, as well as AccuMark, the industry-leading pattern design, grading, marker making and production planning software, AccuMark 3D and AccuPlan.

The Digital Solutions architecture uses common file structures. Data can easily be passed to the cut room where smart machines, like the GERBERspreader XLs Series and the Gerber Paragon line of multi-ply GERBERcutters, can process the order with a simple barcode scan. A closed-loop, end-to-end Digital Solution like Gerber’s, that integrates software and smart machines, is designed to allow companies to automate their entire process and streamline data and workflow necessary to provide insight, maximise throughput, minimise errors and reduce labour costs to be competitive in mass production environments.

Based in Connecticut in the USA, Gerber Technology is owned by AIP, a New York based, global private equity firm specialising in the technology sector and has more than US$ 3.0 billion assets under management.
