Ahead of this year’s INDEX nonwovens show in Geneva from April 18-21, Brückner has added a flow-through belt oven to the range of testing machines at its Technology Centre in Germany.

This is a small and compact thermo treatment line which due to its short length, is fully capable of simulating fast running processes with short dwell times at moderate test speeds. The electrically heated unit is equipped with all relevant sensors for measuring local system pressures, air volumes, air temperatures, material surface temperatures and process air humidity.

Heat-setting, thermofusion, coating, laminating, drying and finishing tests can also be carried out at production scale on the two existing complete lines at the centre.

In the past few years, Brückner has realised some very challenging projects for the nonwovens industry, including lines for the heat-setting of geotextiles, finishing lines for nonwovens in the medical field and thermofusion lines for the bonding of voluminous nonwovens for the furniture industry. The company’s Supra Flow BX double-belt thermofusion oven with its rotary longitudinal cutter, guillotine cross cutter and semi-automatic winder is particularly suitable for the production of such voluminous nonwovens.

Each Brückner line is individually configured and tailored to the specific needs of the customer.

In Geneva, at stand 1580, the company’s sales engineers will be happy to discuss all aspects of the Brückner delivery programme, which includes almost all types of dryers, thermofusion and heat-setting ovens with mainly convective heat transfer, and also the latest trends in machine technology and related processing.
