In his new role, Dean will be responsible for driving and supporting sales of the Zünd range to existing and potential customers throughout the UK.

Dean Ashworth's appointment follows last month's announcement that Nicki Kay had assumed the role of Managing Director for Zünd UK's operations.

He joins Zünd UK from Morgan Advanced Materials, a leading business in advanced materials science and engineering of ceramics, carbon and composites, where he most recently held the position of Commercial Manager. As part of the senior leadership team, Dean headed up all commercial functions of the Morgan Technical Ceramics division and was responsible for developing and managing top-tier aerospace and industrial gas turbine (IGT) customers.

Prior to this, Dean spent 15 years working within the footwear and leather product industries where he developed his skills for winning, growing and maintaining large accounts. He has a proven track record – within multiple business sectors – in leading, coaching and mentoring global sales teams to deliver technical solution-based sales targets with some of the world's largest blue-chip retailers, brands and OEMs.

The company says Dean is delighted to join Zünd UK as Sales and Marketing Manager. “As well as targeting the traditional printing and packaging industries in which Zünd is renowned, Dean is also keen to explore other markets for Zünd's precision cutting systems including technical textiles, composites, leather products and many others, ultimately supporting Zünd UK in its strategy to deliver further growth and transformation for the business.”
