Istanbul-headquartered Lotus Teknik Tekstil has successfully started up a complete line to produce nonwoven roll goods for biodegradable, plastic-free wet wipes which was delivered, installed and commissioned by Andritz.

The neXline Wetlace CP line combines the benefits of both wetlaid and spunlace technologies via which natural fibres can be gently processed to create high-performance and sustainable wipes.

The Lotus wipes are being branded Newipe and combine the strength in all directions of the spunlace process with the biodegradability and softness of Wetlace fabrics. They are produced with a lower carbon footprint than competing products, have a low lint rate and do not generate dust during production.
