Stäubli will be introducing the latest versions of its extensive range of weaving technologies – cam motions, dobbies and jacquards and drawing-in, leasing and warp-tying machines for preparation – at ITMA 2023 in in Milan from June 8-14.

Speaking at the special press conference organised by industry association Swiss Textile Machinery held in Berne from March 16-18, Fritz Legler, the company’s global head of marketing for textiles, said that the reliability and stability of the company’s technologies was based on uninterrupted family ownership for over 130 years and a continuous focus on industrial customers.

“We are constantly developing new and improved high-performance solutions for processing fabrics for fashion, home fabrics, carpeting, automotive, protection and medical applications, as well as highly complex technical textiles for future applications,” he said. “Our technologies are based on more than 2,200 granted or pending patents and are already used on approaching 70,000 weaving machines worldwide.

“Our latest developments for textile production also draw on the company’s wide experience in robotics and digitalisation and process efficiency are intertwined – the better you control the process the more sustainable you are.”

Active Warp Control

Visitors to the show will be able to view the company’s latest Safir S60 automatic drawing-in system with Active Warp Control 2.0 yarn recognition and management in action, along with demonstrations of the latest 1600/1700 cam motions and S3000/S3200 electronic rotary dobbies. These machines now benefit from reduced oil conumption and require fewer oil changes.

Also demonstrated will be the PRO series of jacquard machines, launched at the end of 2022 for enhanced energy efficiency in the production of flat, terry, or one-piece woven fabrics. They are available in formats ranging from 4,608 hooks (LX PRO) to 25,600 hooks (LXXL PRO) and feature the latest Noemi electronics architecture enabling perfectly synchchronised hook lifting during high speed weaving.

Three complete jacquard systems will be in operation at the show in Milan, along with the latest Alpha carpet weaving system which has a number of newly-developed components.
