Trützschler, a leading textile machinery manufacturer, has launched a second generation IDF 2 fully-fledged leveller draw frame, expanding the range of applications. The first generation was primarily used in the area of coarse and medium yarns. The second generation also successfully covers fine rotor yarns, according to the manufacturer.

“There is no easier way to earn money than through process reduction. Machines that are not needed require no investment and no operating costs. This applies to draw frames in rotor spinning. In modern rotor spinning, conventional draw frames are not necessary,” the company explains.

“In connection with the Integrated Draw Frame IDF, thousands of Trützschler cards successfully produce high-quality slivers for rotor spinning. The advantages in terms of quality and economic efficiency are well known.”

These are said to include improved yarn quality and product quality, improved running behaviour of the rotor spinning machines, significantly reduced space requirement, savings in energy costs, and less cans and reduced personnel requirement.

With IDF 2, Trützschler combined the compactness of a simple drafting system with the performance of a leveller draw frame. The characteristics include maintenance-free, digitally controlled servo drives, high levelling dynamics through low mass inertia, draft up to 200% (2-fold), delivery speeds up to 700 m/min, controlled material storage for trouble-free can changing, Trützschler quality sensors in the feed and delivery area, and permanent monitoring of sliver quality.

The drafting system is integrated in the production flow / sliver run and consists of reliable components of the Trützschler draw frame. This also includes technical highlights, like, for instance, the pneumatic load of the top rolls.

Mönchengladbach, Germany, based Trützschler is a leading textile machinery manufacturer, specialising in machines, installations and accessories for spinning preparation, the nonwovens and man-made fibre industry.

The subsidiaries Trützschler Nonwovens and Man-Made Fiber GmbH with two production sites, and Trützschler Card Clothing GmbH, are also located in Germany. Sites in India, China, Brazil, USA and Switzerland, as well as a number of service centres, provide customer proximity in the important segments.
