At the China Outdoor Association’s (COA) AGM, it was decided to support summer business in general and in particular, to take part in the Asia Outdoor trade fair.
The association, which includes industry giants such as Toread, The North Face, Columbia, Kailas, Northland, Mobi Garden and Scaler, is basing its decision on American and European models, where industry colleagues also take part in trade fairs that are focused on the outdoors.
Additional support
The vote to join Asia Outdoor also means that the organisation and implementation of the bolt-on conference will fall to the COA.
Additional support will also come from the Jiangsu Outdoor Sport’s Association and the City of Nanjing, which is playing host to the Junior Olympics this year.
Under the new title of first COA Outdoor China Summit, the two day event will slot in ahead of the trade fair from 21-22 July 2015. National and international experts will be coming together to discuss what the future holds for the outdoor market.
Special events
To celebrate its tenth anniversary, the Asia Outdoor is also organising numerous special events. These include a further extended version of the Running Village and Watersport/Diving areas introduced in 2014. The year 2015 also sees the premiere of a new Bike Travel Village.
