The Vandewiele group of companies, headquartered in Marke, Belgium, will display a range of woven multi-layer and spacer fabrics with 3D geometries, as well as composites for hybrid lightweight construction at the forthcoming Techtextil in Frankfurt from June 21-24.

The group has all the required technologies in-house for widely-varied production programmes based on its core technology of double piece distance weaving. Vandewiele weaving machines create sandwich structures by weaving two fabrics bonded together by vertical yarns, with the Vandewiele IRO zero twist feeders providing full control of the weft and the warp controlled by Bonas full electronic jacquard machines. The machines are all steered by Aros motor and drive solutions developed within the group.

The combination of distance weaving, know-how in handling heavy yarns, optimal control of the weft and full flexibility in the movement of the jacquard makes Vandewiele the ideal partner for the development of new products.

Industry 4.0 standard efficiency and the use of servo motors instead of mechanical parts makes the machines not only more flexible in applications, but enables full control at all times. Software solutions from BMS making this even easier will also be demonstrated at the exhibition.

Specialists will be on site in Hall 12 at stand D35 to discuss all aspects of multi-layer fabrics for applications including footwear components, advanced filter media, geotextiles, bullet proof materials, construction textiles, sports materials, composites and much more.
