Americhem, a leading provider of custom colour and additive solutions for synthetic fibres, will lead a technical seminar on colour and performance additives for specialty fibres during the ITMA Asia + CITME exhibition that will be held from 16-20 June at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Shanghai, China.

Enhancing performance

Led by Americhem’s Technical Development Director, Larry Campbell, the seminar titled Colour and Performance Additives for Synthetic Fibres and Turf will take place on 17 June at 10 am.

Campbell will discuss new developments toward more light stable pigments for outdoor use. These products are also excellent for automotive upholstery, including colours that easily hide yellowing of recycled PET, the company reports.

He will also discuss additives that enhance product performance, including flame retardants, antimicrobials and UV stabilisers.

Industry experience

Campbell has over four decades of industry experience and has served in a wide variety of technical positions for Americhem.

He was instrumental in helping develop Americhem's synthetic fibres technology platform and has helped to start up a number of Americhem's US plants, as well as the company's plant in Suzhou, China.

On display

Americhem will also have a display at the exhibition, featuring custom colours and additives designed for use in many high-performance textile applications.

While promoting the company’s theme of Living a Green & Colourful Life, Americhem will display solution-dyed products in three key categories: awnings and outdoor fabrics, automotive fabrics and high-performance apparel.
