Belarusian yarns and fibres on show in Istanbul

The Belarusian pavilion will present five leading petrochemical companies at Istanbul Yarn Fair 2019, the leading international exhibition for yarns and fibres.

Among the exhibitors will be Belneftekhim, the Belarusian State Concern for Oil and Chemistry. Annually, it produces around 500 types of petrochemical and chemical products, which are then exported to more than 100 countries.

JSC Grodno Azot and its Khimvolokno plant will demonstrate its wide range of synthetic fibres and yarns, polyamide-6 (PA-6) and polymeric composite materials, polyamide textured BCF yarns for floorcoverings, cord fabrics for reinforcing pneumatic tires, polyamide yarns for the manufacture of ropes and fishing tackles, as well as the technical fabrics used for conveyer and driving belts.

SvetlogorskKhimvolokno will present its Arselon heat-resistant threads. The innovative fibre doesn't burn, doesn't melt, repels water and has the maximum strength and resistance, according to the manufacturer. The applications include protective textiles for use in the hospitality and industrial sectors, as well as in the manufacture of hoses, tires and high-temperature filters. The company’s polyester DTY, FDY, POY, ATY threads, carbon fabrics, polypropylene container and knitted cloth will also be on display in Istanbul.

Polotsk-Steklovolokno will present glass fibre-based products. These include electric insulation glass fabrics, basalt fibre, high-temperature silica materials, glass yarns and rovings used as electric insulation winding for wires and cables and in the fabrics and tapes production.

The largest Belarusian plant Naftan will promote acrylic fibres for the production of yarn, fur fabrics, knitted materials, carpeting, upholstery and nonwoven materials.

One of the largest chemical producers in Europe Mogilevkhimvolokno will offer a wide range of polyester fibres, threads and harnesses, used in the manufacture of yarns, fillers and fur fabrics, and will provide polyester textiles for roofing materials and carpets manufacturing.   

The technical organiser of the Belarus pavilion is Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event is supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Turkey and the Belarusian State Concern for Oil and Chemistry.
