Groz-Beckert, a leading provider of industrial machine needles, precision parts and fine tools, has present its latest technology, including the company’s new Cut Pile Looper with LoopControl at this year’s Domotex trade fair that took place in January in Hannover.

The leading trade show for carpets and floor coverings was reported to serve a driving force for local businesses, trends and innovations, according to the positive feedback, gathered from the 1,441 exhibitors from 59 countries and 45,000 trade visitors from more than 100 nations who attended the show.

Under the motto Entry strictly allowed, the exhibition presented the current trends in the industry, including the latest trends in colours. In addition to beige and brown, there were also an increasing number of green and pastel shades to admire, organisers report.

Carpets with supersoft surfaces are also in vogue. The soft fibre yarns with extremely fine individual filaments (low DPF – denier per filament) that are required here place new and higher demands on the cutting performance of tufting tools, because traditional tools cannot always optimally cut the loops, resulting in uneven carpet surfaces.

Groz-Beckert presented a solution for the processing of soft fibre yarns at this year's Domotex: the new Cut Pile Looper with LoopControl.

Cut Pile Looper with LoopControl

The Cut Pile Looper with LoopControl is designed to enable the controlled cut of each loop with one knife stroke. The result is a uniform, high-quality carpet surface, the company reports. The Cut Pile Looper can also be repeatedly reground, and it is said to guarantee long service life and lasting process stability in the Groz-Beckert system.

In addition to the presentation of the new Cut Pile Looper with LoopControl, visitors to the trade show also showed great interest in the Groz-Beckert tufting system. The coordinated components create a uniform fabric appearance and also offer a unique price-performance ratio, according to the manufacturer.
