The public accolade for the most attractive Trevira CS collection went to velour product Duet by Holland & Sherry at the Munich Fabric Spring (Münchner Stoff Frühling – MSF), an annual event celebrating interior design and textiles, which took place in March, with Trevira CS as one of its sponsors.

For the third year in a row, visitors to the MSF could cast their vote on which of the CS collections shown they preferred. They were asked to name their favourite CS collection by filling in a card, which they then posted in one of the Trevira CS ‘letterboxes’ placed in each of the MSF showrooms.

The flame-retardant Duet, a stylish upholstery fabric, turned out to be the public’s top choice. The 100% Trevira CS velvet material is available in a wide range of colours, from light grey, red and violet to dark blue and black. A velour was also the winner of last year’s Trevira CS competition.

“The draw was entered by a large number of people, with one lucky participant winning a trip to Florence for two, worth EUR 2,500,” the company reports. “We congratulate the interior design firm Raum und Form in Pfaffenhofen.”

Trevira is an innovative European manufacturer of high-value branded fibres and filament yarns for technical applications and hygiene products, as well as for home textiles, automotive interiors and functional apparel. Two production sites and a Marketing and Sales office with a total of around 1,100 employees are located in Germany. These are supported by an international marketing and sales organization.

In 2017, sales amounted to around EUR 244 million. The head office of the company is located in Bobingen, near Augsburg. Owner of Trevira is Indorama Venture PCL, Thailand. Trevira has a reputation for fibres and yarns for flame retardant polyester home textiles (Trevira CS), for its fibre specialties for hygiene products and technical applications, as well as for low-pill fibres for functional apparel.
