Milliken has expanded its OBEX entryway solutions with Quadrus, an innovative modular floor covering system for safe and effective building entryways.

Engineered for Zone 3 indoor entryway applications, where moisture absorption is critical to protect against elements that post safety hazards, Quadrus combines superior textile construction with ComfortPlus cushion backing.

Dual-fibre Milliken WearOn nylon yarn and an open textile construction trap dirt and moisture, while allowing easy removal during maintenance, according to the manufacturer. The modular format is said to improve installation flexibility and ease of maintenance, as individual tiles can be lifted for cleaning or replacement.

Technical properties

Two products – Quadrus and Quadrus Brush are said to provide various levels of performance and scraping effects for the ideal balance of design and function. Quadrus Brush, the most aggressive construction, can also be installed in Zone 2 entryway applications when architectural environments do not allow for grid systems.

 Other features and benefits include:

• Flexible, easy-to-cut constructions to fit any shape within a building, from revolving doors to hexagonal or semi-circular areas
• Available in two patterns and eight colours, which coordinate with OBEX Prior and Forma grids for entryway Zones 1 and 2
• Custom patterns and colours available to respond to any interior aesthetic
• Ideal for active circulation areas to avoid premature wear of other flooring and areas with specific needs, such as anti-fatigue and wet conditions
