Monforts Textilmaschinen, a leading textile machinery manufacturer, has participated in the two day symposium called German Technology meets Iranian Textile and Carpet that took place this week in Tehran.  

Described as a landmark event for the Iranian textile and carpet related industries, the conference proved highly successful with more than 250 delegates attending each of two technical papers presented by Monforts specialists.

Presentations

The company’s guest speakers Peter Tolksdorf, Chief Technologist, and Wolfgang Poos, Regional Sales Manager, presented their papers to textile and carpet manufacturers among experts from 35 well-known German companies.

Peter Tolksdorf gave a presentation titled Advanced dyeing processes, whilst Wolfgang Poos presentation was focused on Energy saving finishing methods.

Conference programme

All experts presented practice-oriented technology topics along the entire textile chain in two parallel sessions, covering various topics, including: spinning (natural and man-made fibre), twisting, circular and flat knitting, warp-knitting, weaving, nonwoven, finishing and dyeing machinery, measurement and control equipment and garment technology.

Important cross-topics like energy and material efficiency, life cycle costs and interactive discussions also featured in the programme.

The event, organized by VDMA German Textile Machinery Association and co-organized by German–Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK), was expected to be attended by around 800 decision-makers each day.
