Schärer Schweiter Mettler AG (SSM), the inventor of the electronic yarn traverse system, will exhibit the company’s latest technology, including nine product launches, at ITMA Asia, which is set to take place from 21-25 October in Shanghai, China.
The showcase will include eight new product launches in the winding and doubling segments and one in the air-texturing, showed for the first time in Asia. The exhibition will also mark a world premiere of the new SSM X-Series.
On display
After the successful introduction at the ITMA in Milan, SSM will show its latest technologies and inventions for the first time in Asia. Special focus lies on the new XENO-platform with the enhanced DIGICONE 2 winding algorithm, designed to help achieve a 10- 20% increase on dye package density with same dyeing recipe.
For the first time ever, the SSM X-Series will be shown to the public. The machines (TWX-W/D, PWXW and PSX-W/D) are the most economized winding solution, reduced to the max yet maintaining highest flexibility for any cost efficient winding application, the company reports.
Machines will be presented for a variety of applications, including: dye package winding/rewinding (including technical textiles); assembly winding (doubling); air texturing; and sewing thread finish winding.
Applications
Besides the displayed applications, SSM offers renowned machines for false twist texturing, air covering, draw winding, yarn singeing and conventional covering. Together with the introduction of the XENO-platform and the X-Series, SSM says it aims to demonstrate the company’s market leadership.
The Switzerland based manufacturer says it looks forward to inspiring and interesting discussions concerning open projects using its latest developments.
SSM AG
The Schärer, Schweiter and Mettler companies merged in 1989 to become SSM. In 1999, Stähle-Eltex and SSM merged to develop air texturing technology and to strengthen their leadership position in the marketplace.
With HACOBA as its partner, SSM is also able to offer a complete range of sewing thread finishing machines. The company can also offer a complete portfolio for processed yarns.
Since 2012, SSM Schärer Schweiter Mettler has taken over the activities of Giudici, Italy. Giudici’s strong market position in the field of false twist texturing of high quality fine count Nylon yarns, an application that complements SSM’s established leadership in air texturing, will further expand SSM’s business in the chemical fibre processing industry, the company believes.
