A leading filtration expert Mann+Hummel has presented preliminary figures for the financial year 2017, achieving sales of EUR 3.9 billion, thus meeting its own forecast of July 2017.

“This year we will continue to drive forward the realignment of the company. In addition to the automotive and industrial business, we will increase our impact in the newly created Life Sciences & Environment division. In the coming years, we will be able to position ourselves even more broadly in the attractive filtration market,” explained Alfred Weber, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board.

The company intends to further strengthen its competitiveness – on the one hand, through acquisitions to open up new markets and on the other hand, through further measures to increase efficiency.

As part of its realignment, Mann+Hummel is working intensively on alternative drives, sustainability and digitalisation. In January 2018, the company presented its wide range of digital products and innovative services for the first time at the leading technology trade fair CES (Consumer Electronics Show, Las Vegas/USA). The new digital air filter monitor Senzit has been awarded the CES Innovation Award.

Mann+Hummel is a leading expert in filtration solutions. The company group, with its headquarters in Ludwigsburg, Germany, develops solutions for motor cars, industrial applications, clean air in interior spaces and the sustainable use of water.

In 2017 the group achieved sales of around EUR 3.9 billion worldwide with more than 20,000 employees at more than 80 locations. The products manufactured by the group include air cleaner systems, intake manifold systems, liquid filter systems, plastic components, filter media, cabin filters, industrial filters and membrane filters.
