Ecowipes is experiencing surging demand from international markets for disposable wipes based on the nonwoven substrates made on its first first carded/pulp (CP) line. To power the Polish company’s growth, Trützschler and Voith will now supply it with a second line.

CP technology by Trützschler and Voith delivers both high performance and top-quality products.  Voith’s BlueLine stock preparation equipment and cylinder mould FloatLip former processes paper-grade pulp – the cost-effective raw material for the paper industry – into an extremely homogeneous wet-laid web.

The Trützschler Nonwovens NCT card lays a light-weight layer of viscose or lyocell fibres on top of it and this configuration allows for a precise layering and efficient dewatering. Trützschler’s AquaJet entangles both layers into an inseparable composite nonwoven with superior functionality. A multi-drum dryer and a powerful winder complete the production line which allows for production speeds up to 300 m/min.

Ecowipes’ recipe for success is a high pulp content in the wipe material, bringing down production costs significantly.
