Sitra Coimbatore, the  Centre of Excellence for Medical Textiles,  is organising Meditex-2014, the  Maiden International Medical Textile Expo sponsored by the Office of the Textile Commissioner that will take place from 28 February to 2 March 2014 at Sitra Coe Expo Hall, Coimbatore.

The Trade Expo for medical textiles offers global platform for business opportunities in the varied application areas of medical textiles. The objective of the expo is to provide the domestic industry  an opportunity for interaction between the Indian industry and foreign manufacturers, suppliers, large buyers,  service providers and others.

This event is expected to be largely attended by institutional buyers, hospitals, doctors, surgeons, purchase managers , hospital administrators , medical directors , and allied professionals.

The exhibitors list includes machinery manufacturers, product manufacturers, dealers, distributors, service providers, who will be showcasing healthcare, hygiene non-implantable and implantable medical textiles.
