Eastman is introducing a staple fibre version of its Naia cellulosic acetate for the production of wrinkle resistant and skin-friendly woven fabrics.

Cellulosic acetate in its usual filament fibre form is known for being one of the most reliable materials for achieving a silky look and the new staple version is the ideal component for blends with the highest quality fibres that characterise luxury, such as wool, linen and cashmere.

Naia staple fibres produce soft fabrics that are durable, quick drying, can manage odour and ensure a long-lasting micro-climate. They are produced using sustainably sourced wood pulp and are biodegradable and compostable and created with a safe, closed-loop process that recycles solvents back into the system, minimising environmental impact.

The fibres can be woven into premium, lightweight fabrics, with a unique soft feel, combined with easy care and reduced pilling.
