Andritz has supplied and commissioned a neXline airlay system at the Carolina Nonwovens plant in Ohio – the first installation of the latest generation of this technology in the USA.
The neXline system is designed for ease of use and maintenance and processes recycled fibres into nonwovens for the automotive and industrial sectors, helping to reduce waste and enhance resource efficiency.
As a result of the investment, Carolina Nonwovens is strengthening its ability to produce high-quality nonwovens from industrial and post-consumer waste. The company already has an older Andritz airlay line in place at its plant in North Carolina.
“It was a pleasure to work with the Andritz experts again,” says Ed Hull, COO of Carolina Nonwovens. “Our team benefited from efficient training with their support, enabling us to significantly enhance our capabilities.”
With deep expertise in fibre processing, Carolina Nonwovens offers a wide range of products for various markets such as acoustic and thermal insulation for the automotive, construction and appliance industries.
