SAF (Super Absorbent Fibre) manufacturer Technical Absorbents has continued its association with the organisers and will be the Gold Sponsor for the second year running.

A high-level, commercially focussed meeting, NHPA addresses the issues of entering and expanding in the advanced nonwovens market. It is designed to give delegates practical advice and ideas for taking advantage of the commercial opportunities of these exciting materials and technologies.

Washable SAF nonwoven technology

From 7-8 March 2017, a number of papers will be presented covering a plethora of topics, including a presentation by Technical Absorbents on Washable SAF nonwoven technology and its high-performance applications.

This new innovative washable material, when used as a core within protective outer materials, can be laundered and dried with minimal absorbency loss. Such a fabric has been developed as a solution for different industry sectors including hygiene and apparel. There are also many other potential applications for the fabric that are yet to be explored, the company reports.

“We are striving to build the SAF brand globally so that it becomes synonymous with the more familiar super absorbents technologies,” explained Commercial Director Paul Rushton. “We are also keen to continue highlighting our latest innovations such as the new washable material.

Raising profile of SAF

“With such a highly technical two-day programme of papers, NHPA provides Technical Absorbents a perfect opportunity to raise the profile of the SAF brand with leading figures from the world of nonwovens who choose to visit this event to learn about new technologies, manufacturing techniques and materials. It also provides a chance to network and again demonstrate the capabilities of SAF technology, and related fabrics and yarns, during the table top displays,” said Paul Rushton.

“SAF can provide a high performance advantage in many different industries and applications and Technical Absorbents is proud to be able to work with customers, really understand the detail of what they need to achieve, and create bespoke solutions to meet individual product requirements.”
