From 13-16 July, Friedrichshafen will once again become the leading international meeting point for the outdoor industry, as OutDoor 2016 is getting ready to welcome more than 900 exhibitors from over 40 countries.
As exhibitor registration closed in mid January, the show’s organisers were pleased with the numbers. OutDoor 2016 is also going to welcome members of the prominent trade association and the show’s partner, the European Outdoor Group.
“2016 is going to be a good year for the OutDoor, underlining its position as the international trade exhibition,” said Klaus Wellmann, CEO Messe Friedrichshafen.

The year 2016 will once again see the total OutDoor exhibition area of 85,000m2 completely filled. Among top brands attending are also newcomers, such as Crocs and Zimtstern.
“The late onset of winter this year poses challenges for the industry. This makes it even more important to ensure that there is a broad dialogue and that everything is on the right track for the summer business,” explained Stefan Reisinger, Head of OutDoor, Messe Friedrichshafen.
“It makes sense for brands to position themselves for all four seasons and the OutDoor show is the ideal summer platform – it’s a must-attend event.”
OutDoor Industry Award
In addition, the supporting programme includes tried-and-tested favourites, organisers report. The large number of new products exhibited in Friedrichshafen is reflected in the OutDoor Industry Award.
Once again in 2016, an international panel of experts will be assessing the most innovative entries to decide who should receive one of the prestigious awards. Keeping a finger on the pulse as ever, the EOG and Messe Friedrichshafen will be bringing together industry representatives at the OutDoor Conferences.
