Printful, the leading print-on-demand and fulfilment company, has joined the Shopify Plus certified app programme
Shopify Plus is an ecommerce platform that serves larger volume online retailers and is used by over 14,000 brands globally, allowing them to customise stores and automate operations.
Printful, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, is currently one of the most installed apps on Shopify, surpassing any other print-on-demand service the platform offers.
Last year, Printful reported 115% growth in its large customer segment as more companies are shifting to the on-demand production model, recognising it as a sustainable solution to a variety of ecommerce issues, such as inventory risks, long time-to-market and lack of personalisation.
“We’re excited to bring Printful into the Shopify Plus certified app programme,” said Reinis Grikis, global strategic account executive at Printful. “Being part of it is a stamp of approval on the reliability and product quality we provide to Shopify merchants. Shopify is the go-to platform for large businesses – a segment we also support with a risk-free way to increase product offerings and react quickly to trends.”
Printful’s vision is to make on-demand production an industry norm. As an alternative to traditional manufacturing, its model results in less waste because each order is created only when it’s placed, which is essential at a time when buyers and investors demand brands to operate with sustainability in mind.
Printful is the first unicorn company valued at over $1 billion with Latvian roots, and in 2021 the company hit a revenue milestone of $289 million. Since its founding in 2013, it has delivered over 50 million items and has scaled to a team of over 1,700 people across ten in-house fulfilment centres around the world.
