Indorama Ventures (IVL), headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand, is a global leader in the manufacture of fibres and petrochemical products. The company has grown rapidly since its establishment in 1994, and it now has a presence in 33 countries and operates 123 manufacturing facilities.
The company is wholly vertically integrated, and it splits its operations into six categories, namely feedstocks, fibres, packaging, polyethylene terephthalate (PET), recycled products and wool. Since then, it has recycled more than 58 bn post-consumer PET bottles. In 2018 the company accelerated its efforts to increase its environmental sustainability and pledged to contribute to the circular economy. In 2019 it announced its Climate Strategy 2025 which sets out several commitments and environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals and was formulated to enable the company to align its operations with the global initiatives set out in the Paris Agreement.
