PlasmaGuard is Europlasma’s durable water repellent (DWR) coating solution for sportswear and outdoor apparel applied by low pressure plasma technology.
The PlasmaGuard solution is in different ways disruptive to the DWR industry, combining the highest performance with the lowest environmental footprint, and applicable on 3D textile goods, such as shoes, garments and accessories, the company reports.
ISPO Award
The ISPO Award was created to encourage new innovations in sport products and services which will lead the markets to the future. Every year, ISPO honours the most exceptional sporting goods with the ISPO Award. A jury consisting of independent sports business professionals evaluates several hundred entries – also from non-exhibitors – following clearly defined criteria.
This premium selection presents a welcome orientation for both sports business professionals as well as end-consumers. It serves as a reference for retailers when choosing their upcoming product range; to end-consumers, it is seen as an important purchase argument, according to organisers.
Recognition
“After winning the ITMA 2015 Future Materials Award we are excited to get the same recognition for PlasmaGuard from ISPO. We are proud to install a technology that puts social responsibility into practice, taking significant steps towards zero discharge of water and hazardous chemicals, and carbon neutral performance,” commented Wim Huijsman, Europlasma’s Sales Manager.
The award will be at display at the company’s booth at ISPO Munich that takes place from 24-27 January. The Europlasma team will welcome visitors and will be available to provide more information on the benefits and specific characteristic of the PlasmaGuard coating platform.
