Greenham, a UK based supplier of workwear and personal protection equipment, has positioned eVent Protective fabrics as the premium technology in its new special collections.

The eVent fabrics team will show Greenham products, including the newly launched Autumn ’15 collection of protective outerwear and footwear, at the A+A show that takes place in Dusseldorf, Germany, from 27-30 October.

“Greenham chose eVent for its top-of-the-line outerwear and footwear and this further demonstrates the strength of our technologies for workers who need protection from challenging weather and on-the-job hazards,” said David Cornthwaite, European Sales Leader for eVent fabrics.

Applications

While the US based eVent fabrics is best known for its patented air permeable and waterproof ePTFE membrane used in high performance consumer brands, the company has, in fact, long served military, police and fire fighting forces around the world with its protective products.

The same technologies and fabrics also meet the needs of workers who count on their outerwear and footwear to keep them dry, comfortable and safe throughout the workday.

 The inaugural offering features eVent’s Protective line of membranes and fabrics and is available now throughout the Greenham distribution network in the United Kingdom.

eVent protective membranes

eVent protective membranes and fabrics provide a barrier against workplace hazards and weather.  The company’s biG component Direct Diffusion membranes is said to meet the most rigorous specifications tailored for the end use and environment where the products are used.

These membranes—typically configured in 3-layer laminates—can be waterproof, windproof and breathable to guard against the weather. But the same technology can also provide protection against hazards such as fire, heat, toxic chemicals, petroleum, blood-borne pathogens and more, the company reports.

Greenham’s collection

Greenham’s apparel launch features seven pieces with eVent in the KeepSafe XT range—which includes high visibility fabrics—and Endurance XT collections. The styles include jackets, hoods, trousers and over trousers, all using eVent Protective membranes and fabrics that comply with workwear and safety specifications.

Greenham is also introducing footwear with eVent Protective membrane technology this autumn. The launch features four styles in their high performance Tuf XT range, including a low, mid and high cut ankle boot with side zip and a fully metal-free style. These feature safety toecaps and penetration-resistant midsoles.
