The company says the opening of its first overseas office is in keeping with its plans to expand silk production. The establishment of this office is seen by the company as an essential step in its efforts to obtain final approval from Vietnamese authorities for its planned hybrid silkworm research and pilot production operations.

“The new office is intended to provide an essential gateway for our long term plans which include establishing pilot production and advanced research in traditional silk producing regions. From these humble beginnings we hope to build lasting relationships and spur economic growth,” said Jon Rice, Kraig Biocraft Laboratories COO.
