Schoeller Textil, headquartered in Sevelen, Switzerland, is launching Re-Source – its new recycled textile collection based on the highest quality, design and current sustainability standards.

The Re-Source textiles guarantee highest performance due to their enhanced wearing comfort, durability and optimal weather protection and are suitable in urban environments as workwear or on the most demanding mountain tours. They are also functionalised by Schoeller textile technologies to offer breathability, thermal regulation, wind and water resistance.

All fabrics in the collection are made from bio-based, post and pre-consumer materials such as recycled polyester and elastane. Two of the materials are also lined with natural Nativa merino wool produced under the highest sustainability standards for maximum wear.

The entire production process of Nativa merino wool is 100% transparent and traceable for consumers using blockchain technology. Nativa farms worldwide meet strict social and ecological requirements for animal welfare, land management, and ethical labor guidelines.

Further fabrics are based on the Q-Cycle process, via which polyamide is obtained from used tyres by pyrolysis to achieve savings in CO2 emissions.

Schoeller is also committed to a code of conduct which guarantees transparent supply chains, environmental protection and fair working conditions and all Re-Source textiles are bluesign approved.

The new recycled textile collection will be exhibited at this year’s Performance Days textile fair in Munich from March 15-16, 2023.
