Sioen Industries, a leading producer of technical textiles, fine chemicals and high-tech protective clothing, has shipped an entire container of tarps made by a number of its customers to Nepal, which is in need for tarps and tents to provide temporary shelter for the earthquake victims, who lost their houses.
The shelters should be large enough to provide a temporary home for around 10 persons per tent. This requirement was passed on by the company to its customers two months ago, receiving spontaneous positive reactions to that call.
