Teijin Frontier Co., Ltd., the Teijin Group’s fibre products converting company, and group companies Teijin Frontier Europe GMBH, Nangtong Teijin Co., LTD. and Teijin Frontier (HONG KONG) Limited announced today their participation in OutDoor Friedrichshafen 2016, the international trade fair for outdoor products that will be held at Messe Friedrichshafen in Germany from July 13 to 16.

The Teijin Frontier Group, which will attend the show for the first time in four years, will organize a booth (318, Hall A4) to appeal the group’s environmental strategies for conserving fossil resources and lowering CO2 emissions by showcasing its highly functional materials and environmental action policy THINK ECO.

The Group looks forward to expanding its global market in outdoor-related fields by exhibiting leading products such as the following:

ECO STORM

Waterproof and breathable ECO STORM is made with ECO CIRCLE FIBERS, polyester produced with Teijin’s special closed-loop recycling process, laminated with a thin polyester film, making ECO STORM an ideal eco-friendly fabric for outdoor clothing.

DELTAPEAK

Soft, durable and stretchable, DELTAPEAK also offers ultraviolet protection, anti-transparency and wind-breaking performance thanks to its dense, flat-knit surface. Nylon-based DELTAPEAK is highly wear- and snag-resistant as well.

OCTA

Octa polyester fiber features a unique, highly modified cross-section with eight projections aligned in a radial pattern around a hollow fiber. Advantages include rapid sweat absorption, fast drying and useful bulkiness. Octa Neo is a sheath-core fiber combining Octa long-filament fibers and other chemical or natural-staple fibres.

PASMO

High-tenacity PASMO polyester material achieves superior comfort and body support based on a tensile strength that is 1.5 times greater than that of conventional materials.

Bio-derived materials

The booth at Outdoor Friedrichshafen 2016 also will exhibit partially bio-derived polytrimethylene terephthalate fibers including SOLOTEX, which is exceptionally soft, stretchable, shape-retaining and durable.

Teijin is a technology-driven global group offering advanced solutions in the areas of sustainable transportation, information and electronics, safety and protection, environment and energy, and healthcare. Its main fields of operation are high-performance fibres such as aramid, carbon fibers and composites, healthcare, films, resin & plastic processing, polyester fibers, products converting and IT.
