Leading Italian producer of thermal insulation for apparel and sleeping bags Thermore presents its newly developed Thermore Thermal Booster, a next generation smart insulation, which is said to provide greater comfort and functionality for a wearer.
The Thermal Booster smart insulation is available in two different weight variations to perfectly match most temperature range requirements. The company is convinced that Thermal Booster is the future of thermal insulation and is likely to be used in more apparel products over time.
Insulated garments
The best insulated garments provide high zippered collars and cinches at the cuffs and/or bottom of the jacket in order to facilitate the heat management. However, these design components will only give limited extra protection, the company believes.
Until now, most garments provided only static warmth, because down feathers or synthetic polyfills work as static thermal insulations: they always retain the same amount of thermicity, regardless of the outside temperature.
The company developed its innovative insulation to offer efficient temperature control for any outdoorsman, biker, or fashion enthusiast, who wants to feel both comfortable and warm in various weather conditions.
Smart insulation
Thermore Thermal Booster is the smart insulation that is said to extend the comfort zone by keeping users warm over a wider range of temperatures. The product is designed to provide more warmth when the weather gets colder, the company reports.
“Thermal Booster maintains its higher warmth for as long as the temperature is lower. And of course, if the temperature increases, it automatically re-tunes to the warmer temps, thus keeping you in the comfort zone,” says the company.
Independent test laboratories proved that Thermore Thermal Booster is over 20% warmer at lower temperatures. “It’s just like having a heat pack: as the temperature decreases, it gradually increases its warmth up to more than 20%,” the company reports. Thanks to Thermore’s proprietary anti-fibre migration treatment, the effect is also said to be consistent and durable even after repeated washing cycles and heavy duty wear.
