Quatro Composites, a leader in design and fabrication of advanced composite structures, has been awarded a contract extension to produce Boeing 787 Dreamliner stowage bin fittings for the 787-9 model.

“We are honoured to continue to be a part of this cutting edge aircraft,” commented Steve Roesner, Quatro Composites’ President. “Boeing's strategy of converting metallic fittings to composite for its weight and cost benefits is perfectly in line with Quatro's vision and core competencies.”

Advanced composite products

Quatro Composites is an Iowa based advanced manufacturer offering a full line of services from design, analysis, prototyping and production of advanced composite products.

Quatro manufactures and engineers products for the aerospace, military / defence, industrial and medical markets. The business operates in two locations, Orange City, Iowa, (Corporate Office and Manufacturing Center) and Poway, California (Business Innovation Center).

Quatro Composites

Quatro began as a partnership formed in California in May 1997 for the purpose of researching, designing, developing and manufacturing performance-inspired composite products.

The original founders set out to develop unique process technologies to produce high quality parts at a reduced cost. Initially Quatro primarily served the sporting goods and consumer product markets. Over time, the company found that its processes were capable of producing parts that would meet the demanding specifications of the aerospace and medical markets.

In 2004, a small, Greenfield upstart named Tec Industries L.L.C. was formed. A year later, the company acquired California based Quatro Composites in order to combine the industry-leading engineering and product development experience, and business, manufacturing and financial expertise.
