After vigorous trialling and testing, the Innovation Lab of Rivertex Technical Fabrics, based in Culemborg, The Netherlands, has developed fully circular softshell and hardshell fabrics for protective functional clothing.
Both multilayer fabrics are constructed of recycled content and are fully recyclable.
The three-layer softshell fabric is constructed from recycled polyester yarns with a waterproof and breathable recycled PET membrane and a recycled polyester fleece backing. The two-layer hardshell fabric has a similar sustainable construction. Both fabrics are made with similar polymers to ensure their full recyclability.
Since there are no noticeable technical differences from the original versions, Rivertex has decided to fully replace its successful ranges of HPL Comfort 325 softshell and RTX+ 300 with these fabrics. Both fabrics have GRS certification and are competitively priced and available from stock.
Rivertex Technical Fabrics was established in 1980 and is now a leading supplier of coated and laminated fabrics and films, offering a wide range of technical fabrics for customers in many markets and applications.
