Pureko, based in Myszków, Poland, has ordered a new Andritz eXcelle needlepunching line to process recycling fibres from garment waste into technical felts for furniture and geotextile applications.
The final products will have fabric weights ranging from 300-500 gsm and production capacity will be up to 750 kg/h. Installation and start-up are scheduled for the third quarter of 2021.
Andritz will also be responsible for the engineering of the complete line – from web forming to needling – and it will be fitted with the company’s recently launched scanning gauge for monitoring fabric weight evenness in both cross and machine directions (CD and MD).
This is the second Andritz line to be supplied to Pureko, the first being supplied three years ago to produce fluffy nonwovens used in the furniture, textile, and clothing industries.
Founded in 2009, Pureko’s nonwovens are mainly used for waddings and are hypoallergenic and free of chemicals.
