Registration open for Domotex asia/Chinafloor 2018

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the event’s campaign.

Domotex asia/Chinafloor, the annual hub for Asia-Pacific flooring professionals, now welcomes visitors to register for the 2018 edition, which will take place from 20-22 March at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, Pudong. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the event’s campaign, and to celebrate, more than 100 pre-registered visitors will be granted signature VIP access and receive invitations to concurrent conferences and festivities during the show.

The InnovAction Flooring Campaign and high-profile displays are based in three locations throughout the exhibition with the purpose of unveiling future market leading products in carpet, wood, and resilient flooring. These flagship pavilions are designed by Kostas Chatzigiannis and his team at KCArchitecture. Companies looking for an ideal platform to introduce their products in the industry will have the opportunity to reach an audience of over 55,000 at the upcoming show.

“InnovAction is a snapshot of the flooring industry’s future, and our goal is to highlight the importance of this,” said InnovAction architect Kostas Chatzigiannis. “The human brain is naturally wired to fix attention on images and structures that stand out from everyday surroundings. With this idea in mind, we are building these custom areas because exhibitors are counting on our support to strengthen the promotion of their new concepts.”

Sport flooring

In the next few years, the Asian-Pacific region will host some of the most important sporting events in the world. The 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia, 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea, and the 2020 Summer Olympics in Japan will all require heavy investment from the region to construct new, state of the art sporting facilities.

Domotex asia/Chinafloor 2018 is following suit and organising experience zones for companies specialising in sport flooring. The sport flooring area will host a Badminton Tournament on a 200sqm pitch of artificial sports turf, organise a Snow + Ice Experience Zone, and open the China Green Campus Construction Forum to visitors interested in discussing the future of green, eco-friendly surfaces with municipal governments, sports bureaus, and school associations.

Architects @ cadex

Looking on either side of the Huangpu River in Shanghai, it is clear that demand for architectural expertise in the city has increased for projects ranging from multi-level shopping malls, outdoor pavilions, and luxury apartments, organisers report.

Flooring project leaders in Asia have come to notice and respect the power international architects and designers bring to a variety of construction ventures. Domotex asia/Chinafloor and cadex created a two-day platform geared toward providing global architects and flooring experts a meeting place to exchange ideas and best practices.

In 2017, over 4,000 people attended the educational conferences to update themselves on current events and discover ways to collaborate on future projects in the Asian-Pacific Region.

Attendance

Domotex asia/Chinafloor increased its international attendance by almost 20%, with the top five visiting countries outside of China featuring South Korea, Japan, the US, India, and Australia. “I expect our 2018 global visitor registration and attendance to exceed last year’s results,” said Shine Liu, Project Director of VNU Exhibitions.

“The event continues to be the industry’s key meeting point in Asia and the international flooring community is noticing. Since last year, we signed on new international pavilions (Croatia and Iran) and hope to organize more country marquee’s to join the ranks of Canada, Germany, Switzerland, the UK, USA, and Italy.”

VIPs and invited guests can visit Luxury Brands, a distinct display area presenting 15 renowned carpet design firms who indulge visitors with a variety of new, extravagant products. Luxury Brands is co-organised and sponsored by Cover Magazine, a key partner of Domotex asia/Chinafloor.
