Baltex chief to present at British technology showcase

Warp knitted technical textiles specialist Baltex will be in the spotlight at a British technology showcase in London this week.

Baltex Managing Director Charles Wood. © Baltex  Warp knitted technical textiles specialist Baltex will be in the spotlight at a British technology showcase in London this week when Managing Director Charles Wood presents a paper about the latest innovations in three-dimensional textiles and their applications in the medical and smart textiles fields at Innovate UK 2014.

Innovate UK 2014 is an event organised by the UK government’s Technology Strategy Board and brings together the research base, business, UK and International investors, international visitors from 30 overseas markets and government organisations. The event is being held at Old Billingsgate, London on the 5th and 6th November.

Baltex designs, manufactures and supplies a wide range of high performing technical textiles for a range of high performance markets. The company supplies advanced materials to industries such as aerospace, military, medical, composites and automotive.

Baltex has developed a novel range of three dimensional spacer fabrics which have applications in multiple sectors based on double needle bar warp knitting technology and this will be the focus of Charles Wood’s presentation.

Innovate UK 2014 is an annual innovation, networking and exhibition event, held in partnership with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), and is an opportunity to meet key decision makers from business, government and academia.
