The Textile Institute with the support of the Manchester & Cheshire Section and the Technical Textiles SIG will be building on the success of last year's event and hosting this one day conference on 30 November 2011. ‘Managing Innovation in Textiles 2011' aims to explore how major innovations will affect industry, the environment and our lifestyles going forward.
Keynote speaker, Dr Batchelor is one of Unilever's leading Inventors and Innovators, with over 100 published patent applications. Educated in Oxford, he worked in academia in Berlin and Zurich before moving to Unilever in 1997. Since then he has worked on a wide variety of laundry and other colour problems, and has seen many of his inventions through to successful market launches.
