Invista’s Cordura brand has announced its sponsorship of the Pacific Crest Trail Association (PCTA), which aims to protect, preserve and promote the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail.
“The Cordura brand spirit embodies adventurers like those who have experienced the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT),” commented Cindy McNaull, Global Cordura brand and Marketing Director. “Our durable Cordura fabrics are great for anyone from a first time day hiker to the most experienced climbers, a versatility that holds true for the Pacific Crest Trail as well.”
Promotional efforts
Spanning 2,650 miles from Mexico to Canada, the Pacific Crest Trail traverses some of the most beautiful wilderness in America. The film Wild, based on the novel by the same name, is the true story about one woman’s 1,100 mile solo hike on the PCT. The movie will be released in December and brings to life the PCTA’s mission of preservation for this internationally significant landmark.
Invista’s Cordura brand sponsorship of the PCTA brings with it a like-minded mission to help promote the PCT for future generations of durable people to experience and enjoy this national treasure, the company reports.
“It’s fantastic to see Invista’s Cordura brand share in our passion for the Pacific Crest Trail,” said Liz Bergeron, PCTA Executive Director and CEO. “We at the PCTA have been passionate about the trail from the beginning and sponsorships like this one are what help us continue our preservation and promotional efforts.”
