Groz-Beckert, the leading manufacturer of industrial machine needles, precision engineering, systems and services for the manufacture and sewing of textiles, reports a steady increase in demand for the services of its knowledge platform Groz-Beckert Academy, which started in 2011.
With 328 participants over the course of 836 training days in less than two years, the Academy is said to have received a great reception and it now aims at further development and growth on the international scale.
Proving successful
The Groz-Beckert Academy, a knowledge platform that has been created to cover all textile production and joining methods, was founded in October 2011 to offer a more competitive edge to the company’s customers through its specialist know-how.
Since then the Academy has shown the growing demand for the range of courses available covering different fields, such as knitting, weaving, felting, tufting and sewing – the company’s areas of speciality.
Up-to-date
The Groz-Beckert Academy programme is constantly being updated by the new training courses, specially tailored to the demands of the market.
According to the company, this year the course ‘Technical Textiles’, offered for the first time, has shown an intense interest by looking at the registration figures. The course is designed to provide participants with the comprehensive technological expertise as they learn about the rapidly growing sector of technical textiles. Another new course this year will be about the basics of ‘Tufting and Tufting Tool Technology’.
Multilingual approach
The Groz-Beckert Academy also offers the multilingual learning environment, as the course taught at the institution are not only available in German and English, but also in other languages, such as Spanish and Chinese.
According to the company, this underlines the importance of knowing these particular languages on the international textile market.
The Groz-Beckert Internet portal also provides worldwide access to the current training programme at the Groz-Beckert Academy, as well as the chance to register for the selected courses.
