At the ITM 2024 textile machinery exhibition in Istanbul from June 4-8, Karl Mayer will showcase a range of non-crimp and weft insertion warp-knitted fabrics developed on its technologies for the construction industry.
These include textile concrete reinforcements, roofing materials and geogrids that make construction and renovation faster, easier and more environmentally friendly.
In slope stabilisation, for example, textile grids enable the construction of steeper, safer embankments to optimise land use and reduce structural disruption.
Fibreglass non-crimp fabrics manufactured on Karl Mayer’s Cop Max 4 machine are also in demand in the wind power industry. The multiaxial warp knitting machine produces fabrics for the reinforcement of composites which set new standards for rotor blades in terms of span widths.
“When using non-crimp fabrics and weft insertion warp-knitted fabrics, time and raw materials can be saved in the construction industry,” says Hagen Lotzmann, vice president of sales at Karl Mayer Technical Textiles. “We look forward to showing visitors to ITM the business opportunities and benefits of using these technical textiles.”
