SGL reports increase in earnings for 2016

Net result substantially improved despite negative contribution from discontinued operations.

Sales of SGL Group from continuing operations in the fiscal year 2016 amounted to EUR 769.8 million. This represents a 3% decline. Reported Group EBIT from continuing operations increased substantially from 6.9 million in 2015 to EUR 23.7 million in 2016. Net financing result amounted to minus EUR 50.9 million, compared to minus EUR 52.3 million in 2015.

The net result from continuing operations after taxes amounted to minus EUR 34 million, compared to minus EUR 67.5 million in the previous year.
