Uniquely constructed with drirelease yarns and an embedded FreshGuard technology treatment, Sigvaris Eversoft Diabetic Socks are designed to wick away moisture and prevent odour, thus reducing friction against the skin and lowering the risk of infection.
Unlike many other diabetic socks on the market, Eversoft diabetic socks are said to provide 8-15mmHg of graduated compression for improved circulation. A Sigvaris flat toe seam design minimizes irritation, and a stretchable top band further enhances wearing comfort, the manufacturer reports.
Graduated compression therapy
“By creating the most innovative products with the finest textiles available, Sigvaris has quickly become a trusted name in compression therapy for diabetic patients,” said David Rosenberg, Director of Marketing for Sigvaris North America. “Patients who try Eversoft Diabetic Socks will be taking steps to improve their overall health, well being and activity level.”
Socks and hosiery that feature graduated compression therapy are designed to be tightest at the ankle and decrease in pressure going up the legs. Graduated Compression garments help improve circulation and revive tired, achy legs. They are also said to help with the treatment and prevention of chronic venous insufficiency and varicose veins.
Health benefits
Sigvaris first introduced diabetic patients to the health benefits of graduated compression therapy several years ago with the launch of the Sigvaris Diabetic Compression Socks, backed by a clinical study that outlined the many benefits.
With the launch of the new Eversoft Diabetic Socks, physicians will now be able to determine whether a patient needs a light (8-15mmHg) or a moderate (18-25mmHg) compression therapy level and be able to prescribe the Sigvaris compression therapy that best suits the needs of each individual patient.
