nanofibre spinningFollowing a recent agreement between the two companies, Dienes Apparatebau GmbH is to take over sales and overall project management for nanofibre spinning lines manufactured by Reiter GmbH + Co. KG Oberflächentechnik.

“Over the last five years a centrifuge spinning installation was developed in cooperation with a German research institution, which provides a quantum leap in nanofibre technology. The new line type not only represents the first commercially available nanofibre line made in Germany in production scale, but also sets the standard for international comparison. For having opened up a new chapter in the nanofibre production technology the line received the Techtextil innovation award in 2009,” a statement from Dienes said yesterday.

“Due to the high productivity and the low maintenance requirements and based upon a compact and price effective execution this type of line will push forward the use of nanofibres in filtration, medical technology and in other areas, where new materials are in demand,” the company said.

Centrifuge spinning lines with only three spinning heads provide a throughput which is said to be one thousand times higher compared to a conventional electro-spinning installation with more than 30,000 spinning nozzles. According to Dienes, independent of system size, all systems from pilot to production scale incorporate the same technological advantages. For customer trials and for product developments a laboratory unit as well as a pilot line with a one metre working width are available.
