Toraysee for Shops and Salons – a new woven wipe based on Makspec antibacterial fibre – is to be launched by Toray Industries in Japan this month.
The wipe is targeted at shops, salons and other outlets offering in-store service, as a rapid route to their disinfection and sterilisation procedures.
Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, it has become routine at such establishments in Japan to have staff and customers disinfect their hands to prevent contact infections and partitions have also been installed to safeguard from airborne droplets.
Frequently wiping tables, chairs, counters and other surfaces is also important, but is very labour-intensive. Toraysee for Shops and Salons is said to wipe faster and more effectively than regular cleaning cloths. Research has proven that it can remove 98% of stains when dry and 99% when it is wet.
The cloth can also be washed and reused without compromising performance and is based on a special, quick-drying weave of 4-6 micron microfibres in a structure of micro pockets to draw dirt in. It can also be used with appropriate concentrations of alcohol and sodium hypochlorite disinfectants due to its outstanding chemical resistance.
Toray first introduced the Toraysee brand back in in 1987 as an advanced cloth for eyewear and has since expanded the range to include numerous popular cleaning products.
