In its ongoing push to bring natural, circular solutions to global brands and retailers, HD Wool is presenting its traceable HD wool insulation for the outdoor apparel industry at its online booth at the Performance Days Digital Fair, which is currently taking place online until May 21.

HD wool apparel insulation is natural, renewable and biodegradable whilst providing inherently breathable, odour- inhibiting comfort and unmatched moisture management in a variety of machine washable weights from 75gsm to 200gsm.

The brand has continued to build momentum with award-winning adoptions from partners such as Finesterre and The North Face, among others, due to the increased interest in the benefits of natural performance fibres and the regenerative agriculture movement. Further new collaborations with leading brands are slated for Autumn/Winter 2021 in Europe and North America.

“Global brands and retailers are looking for more environmentally-friendly solutions for their performance and urban outerwear and appreciate the natural thermoregulation and odour-inhibiting advantages of this new insulation, in addition to the planet positive benefits of better-farmed wool,” said Simon Whitmarsh-Knight, managing director of HD Wool Apparel Insulation, based in Shipley, UK.

The company is actively supporting farmers to start the regenerative agricultural journey by undertaking an annual Ecological Outcome Verification by the Savory Institute, to show progress in land-to-market objectives. HD Wool is partnering with the Savory Institute to create the first model of regenerative British wool, which is committed to supporting producers with a new route to market, whilst providing brands with regenerative sourcing solutions and consumers with dynamic buying choices.
